I have sent several Janie Cakes as gifts. Last Christmas I sent one to colleagues at a college and the staff at Janie Cake went above and beyond and called the college so they would watch out for the cake so it did not get lost in the mail room. My MIL loves these cakes. I also go to the store and everyone is always kind and friendly. Wonderful small business with a quality product. All of the cakes are good but the Saucy Jane and the Pierre's Rum Jane are my favorites.

Have been a fan since it opened and we discovered JC. Have ordered many, many times over the last 15 years for business, birthdays, and other celebrations and always purchase as a fun treat at satellite locations in TX when we've come across them. Most recently ordered 4 cakes this past month and one didn't make it. Although the lost in shipping is due to fed ex and not JC's fault, (although that is the only option they have for shipping,) I am very disappointed in their lack of help, consideration, and compensation. I ordered a cake for my young adult daughter's first holiday alone as she is working and we live out of state. I selected a delivery date 2 days in advance, hoping to avoid any complications. The cake has still not arrived and with everything being closed, I can no longer even select something else to have delivered to her from JC or anywhere else at this point in time. JC said they would reimburse me if it doesn't eventually get delivered but that doesn't matter anymore as she is working and she won't be there to get it or enjoy it. And now I can't even arrange to get her something else because businesses are closed and it is a holiday. Not sure I will have the heart

The most delicious cakes and excellent service. I’ve been ordering cakes from Janie’s Cakes for a few years now. My family and friends tell me that they love to receive “the pound cake from Tyler, Texas” on any occasion. The quality of the cakes is exceptional. I also appreciate the excellent service the company provides online and by phone. This morning I had to change the shipping date on a recent order, and when I called Arlene immediately took care of everything. She was very gracious and helpful.

We’re on a food exploration trip from Florida, and unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to expectations. I was excited after spotting it while driving and ordered a variety of their Petite Jane cakes online, hoping to enjoy the selection. Sadly, I was disappointed with almost every flavor. The Tart Petite Jane was dry, and there was barely any lemon flavor. The Java Petite Jane was also underwhelming – I could barely taste the coffee and toffee notes. The Red Velvet Petite Jane was the most confusing – it didn't taste like red velvet at all, more like dry raw corn flour with an odd texture. While there was some cheese flavor, it didn't quite work in the way I expected. The Chipper Petite Jane was the most decent of the bunch, but it didn't stand out in any special way. The Carrot Petite Jane was similar – I liked it about the same as the Chipper, but the bottom of the cake was oddly moist, almost like it was melting away. Finally, the Saucy Petite Jane was a complete miss for us. One positive note was that the website mentioned waiting for the cakes to come to room temperature before tasting, which I appreciated, but even with that, the flavors just didn’t deliver. The pl
